This is the season to be giving.  

Giving love to those who suffer from never knowing it and to those who can't get enough.  

Giving peace in the midst of a storm or drama.  

Giving secuirty to those who depend it such as our children or elderly sick parents.  

Giving time to the many shelters who are trying to make a difference in someones life this holiday season.  

Giving someone life after a loved one moves on.  

Giving joy where there is pain and giving hope when there is doubt.  Perhaps the greater gift of giving is giving back to God.  The very God who gave His only begotten son just for our sins.  

Give time to a local church or your church by setting up Christmas baskets for the needy.  

Give more than your tithes and offering and watch God move a mountain for you.  

Give more time to a committee within the church.  

Give your kids the best gift by telling them and being example of what Jesus Christ is!  

Give new toys to the children who is fighting cancer in a hospital.  Give a parent time to themselves caring for a sick child just by visiting a hospital with a animal.  (I am not talking about or to the sexual child predators.  I got something SPECIAL to give you!!!!)  I was trying to be nice but thought I had to put that in there, don't want no misunderstandings!!!!

Last but not least....Give someone a chance to see the God in you!  I'm Just Saying!  I pray your Christmas is a wonderful, blessed day!

I'm Just Saying! (Home Rememdies with Kids)

After raising three boys (ages 22, 22 and 20) you learn how to be crafty.  I was the only female in the house so I had to be tough!  Here are some tricks and trade of the motherly things I may or may not have done to get them to take their act right medicine.  (Don't be tripping on these things.....I never had to be in the court system, cemetery or jailhouse for my kids!)  They are actually good men I must say!  I'm Just Saying!

Have you ever come into the house and smelled your trash can stinking from the nights before?  You assigned chores and No One seemed to care to take out the trash.  Who ever had the responsibility to take it, call them!  Make them stand over the trash can with lid open breathing.  They will NEVER forget to take out the trash.  You will also get a laugh at their face as they try to breath away the trash can.  I'm Just Saying!  (I'm laughing just thinking about my sons face.)

Do you have a child sneaking in and out of the house?  Jimmy up a bucket of cold water over their entry way and soak em up.  They will make enough noise to wake you and the neighbors up.  I'm Just Saying!

Are your children ungrateful of the items you just purchase such as shoes?  Well!  Take em back or put them up which ever is your choice.  Go to the Goodwill or Salvation Army somewhere thrifty and purchase some shoes in their size.  Take an name brand box maybe the ones you just brought, take the new out and replace with old.  Give the shoes/item to your child and watch their face.  I bet they learn how to appreciate what you buy from now on.  I'm Just Saying!

Is your teen trying to smoke?  Go buy a pack of cigarettes and make them smoke em all!  Two at a time if you have to.  They will think about that the next time they try to be grown on your watch!  I'm Just Saying!

You have children who hate to flush the toilet?  Next time they leave a surprise for you make em stand there and look at it for a awhile.  Works just like the trash can!  I'm Just Saying People!

and finally my favorite!!!!!

Children acting a fool in school?  Go find a nappy wig, some jacked up Snoop Dogg teeth, granny panties (NEW) you can get them at a Goodwill for little of nothing.  Some cement glue to put in crotch of the panties, some holy too little pants and shirt with a pillow for a grandma booty.  Take the panties and turn inside out to wear over your pants OR you can tape to bottom of leg...just make sure the cement is showing.  Go to school, to their classroom and embarrass the mess out of them.  The look on their face is priceless!!!!  Make it clear to them that when they act up in school that embarrasses you and this is your way to let them know how you feel.  I promise you the school will not call you for any more foolishness!  I'm Just Saying!  (I actually did this to my younger son)

I'm Just Saying! (The church and sexual sin)

 I was reading an online article about a facebook pastor who requested his members to delete their facebook or step down from their leadership positions.  Well!  The reason being was due to his sexual encounter with his wife and mail assistant.  (You can read the story for yourself here: Facebook Pastor).  Bishop Eddie Long, now Rev. Cedric Miller and the many other pastors who has been caught up in sexual scandals need to repent before its too late.  I'm Just Saying!  There is a special place in hell for those who has promoted God's name.

QUESTIONS:

Why do we allow our "natural" man to out smart our "spiritual" man?  Perhaps we think highly ourselves than we do God.  Maybe its because we can't stand to follow God's directions and the path He purposely laid for us.  What it ever is, I am sure God is not pleased with whats transforming in the world.  Many of the Pastors, Bishops, Priests, Ministers, Christians have fallen below the surface while other Pastors, Christians, Priests, Bishops and Ministers turn their head for fear of brushing elbows with the drama.  I ask you....WHAT DOES GOD SAY?  We are to pray for those in the church, out of the church and in between.  We are to lend a spiritual guidance to those who walk a worldly walk.  We are to be examples of Christ!  Why are we not doing so?  When has the media taken over our right and wrong's and made it  theirs?  Why is alright to persecute those who fall in the church of their sin and not those who living in their sin?  How is being gay or being lesbian Godly?  As a Christian they want to persecute true Christians for not believing in their way of living.  If you don't accept them you subjected yourself to "hate crime" laws.  How is a murder any different?  Why are we pulling away from God and running into the very things that are not of him?  If Betty dumb jumped off the Brooklyn bridge does that mean the world will follow?  It surely seems that way.  We'll Tina is sleeping with Marie so I'm gon try it because that's the new "in" thing.  NO!  That is a sure way to follow someone straight to hell.  I'm Just Saying!

SOLUTIONS:
We must stand on God's word no matter what people try to make you swallow.  God's word will never return null & void.  It's words are there for an insight to what was and what is to come.  

We must pray!  Pray for everyone and everything that is not living this Christian life.  Mothers will be against Daughters & Father against sons, the devil loves to see family separated and torn apart.  He's a liar and I rebuke in the name of the Father, the Son and Holy Spirit!

We must also be there for people. Recently I was hurt by someone and if that person was to reach out today I would try my best to there for them.  Not because I have to but because its the right Christian Godly thing to do.  No matter what you are facing, God faced worse!  I'm Just Saying!

Okay before you get all mad about what I'm bout to say lets get the I'm Just Saying Disclaimer out the way. Okay?.....K!

Now.....some folks is going to not like this but OH WELL!  

It's August and your calling around looking for Christmas help for your 6 kids and 4 grand kids who you claim are living with you.  IT'S AUGUST PEOPLE!!!!!  You mean to tell me you can not start that early to provide for your own babies?  I mean seriously something is wrong with that picture.  Christmas in July just passed you by and you begging for a hand out already?  Straight bonafide TRIFLING!!!!  I'm Just Saying!

You get $400 in food stamps and $1100 a month, why are you at the pantry faithfully like its a supplement just for you?  You living in low income housing, no job, no business about life but you mad because you can't get over on the system any more.  Must be nice to free load off tax paying people such as myself.  I'm Just Saying!

This is a pep peeve of mine.......PLEASE stop giving these sad stories like you have no place to live, no medicine, no food or no hope.  (Now I talking to the scammers)  When I offer you a place where they house the homeless and you give me some bull that you can't go, than you ain't homeless!  When I offer help to you where you can get your medicine possibly for free and you provide bull, you on some drugs that isn't prescribed!  & My favorite.....when I give you some food and you tell me you don't want that -YOU AIN'T HUNGRY!!!!  Stop taking from those who really need the help and press on before your feelings get hurt.  Shame on you!  OH AND the pan handlers who stand on the corners by the VA, GO OVER THE VA IF YOU CLAIMING TO BE A VET AND GET THE HELP!!!!  THAT WHAT THE VA IS FOR!!!    I'm Just Saying!

Finally,

Parents if you're running around trying to buy the store up for your kids this Christmas....STOP!  Christmas is not about that!  Its about Jesus Christ!  Teach your children the real meaning about Christ.  Do something different this year.  Go purchase hats, gloves, coats and take to the homeless, purchase A toy for a sick child someone suffering with cancer perhaps.  Adopt a less fortunate family by purchasing their dinner meal or kids some clothes.  Write a letter about Christ and email it to your lost love one.  Here's a good.....FORGIVE SOMEONE WHO HAS HURT YOU!  That will provide immediate relief in you and your heart.   Cook dinner and feed the hungry use your local church as the feeding location.  Start a college fund for your kids.  Purchase life insurance for everyone in your home.  Take some of the junk you brought from past Christmas and donate to other unfortunate children.  We have to stop spending wastefully and start buying things that are important and necessary.  Is an Xbox more important than having good quality with your kids?  Take this year to start a new trend.  One that is not requiring you to go broke!  I'm Just Saying!!

I'm Just Saying! (My Immediate Family)

THIS SEGMENT IS STRICTLY ABOUT MY FAMILY.  IMMEDIATE FAMILY.  THIS IS THE ONLY PLACE I CAN VENT IN MY OWN WORDS WITHOUT ANYONE TWISTING THEM.  Truth be told, I am sure you have some issues similar or worse than mine.  I'M JUST SAYING!

It never amazes how jacked up my immediate family is.  I was on the phone with my sister this morning when she made a comment about her son "not being about drama" and how "he doesn't fool with a lot people."  She stated that he is like me and I agreed.  She proceeded to say how he will be around the family for family functions.  I replied that he is grown and will do what is best for him.  She said as long as he lives with her, he will.  I agree and could understand but then I asked her why wasn't that in effect when I had family dinners and she allowed him to not come.  She replied, "I am talking about the whole family.  You know what I mean," she said and I replied "No, but I got you!"  She got upset and got off the phone.  I took that as I am not important enough to have my nephew at my house for dinner but everyone else in the family is.  I won't tip toe around her or anyone for that matter.  I know she talks about me when I am not around and then say something else when I am around.  I have known that about my sister from day one.  She is who she is!  She never sees her faults yet she is so quick to point out everyone else.  She has to be right and she has to be the center of attention.  To each its own!  She really hate the fact that I am not close to the family.  Well I guess I could if I never had to be the end of every joke or put up against you as the one who isn't prettier, or cute, or doesn't speak her mind.  Let's be honest we aren't little girls anymore.  I am grown beautiful, smart, and very outspoken woman who take no prisoners.  Thanks for the years of being in your shadow because my light shines brighter than a plastic surgeons teeth whitener patient.  I'm Just Saying!

My mother and I don't have a relationship, never have and never will.  I am great with that.  There use to be a time when I longed to have that with her but she has made that clear that my sister and younger brother are her only children.  They are her favorite and she has always made sure my older brother and I knew that.  So its no brain teaser to know that my son who is living with her that our relationship is estranged.  Partly because of his stank attitude and the drama he keeps around him.  My mother told my sister as long as I have not apologized to her for our relationship, nothing with my son will be right.  SHE MUST BE CRAZY!  I won't put her on blast about her lack of mothering but I will say check yourself and come clean to your children about your lack of and what you subjected us to before feelings get hurt.  I'm Just Saying!

My younger brother is just lost.  He has been so shielded that he don't know the truth if it slapped him across the face.  He don't even deserve a paragraph so lets move on....I'm Just Saying!

As for me, I am just trying to live my life without always hearing how much I love those DeVaughn's.  I do love them!  They love me as their own.  I love my blood family but I am sick of the differences.  I don't owe  anyone any apologies.  I will never be jealous of anyone in this family.  I am surely capable of  loving each and everyone as you are.  However, I will not settle for seconds. I will not live in the shadow of my sister.  I am not two faced and never will be and I am surely speaking what's on my mind and heart.  Stop putting me in a category you built for me because God has moved me else where and say so other wise.  If you can't handle that then keep it moving.  I don't come around because I sick and tired of lies and two faced people in this family.  I am not going to fight over you, about you and with you.....it is just not worth it.  As a child I have always said we are dysfunctional and it was so the truth!  Mother if my sister and baby brother is your favorite GOOD for you and them but don't talk crazy about me for loving a family that loves me for me.  Get over it!  I'm Just saying!

I surround myself with positive things and positive people.  God has bless me tremendously with a man, 2 children who loves me unconditionally a family who loves me in spite of  my wrongs and rights so why in God's name would I surround myself with hate and envy?  

To my youngest son, YOU ARE YOUNG and I get that.  I need you to find your way and get away from the spot you are stuck in.  I love you deeply.  ALWAYS WILL!  I am not my mother!  I am disappointed and hurt but this too shall pass.  Right now we (your parents) have to let you go because it is what's best for us and you!  Just know we are still praying that you get it together.

As for my family in general, LOVE YOU DEARLY!  If you listen or fall for the lies or what you think you know about me.  Check yourself!  Most of you don't even know me.  Most of you have always listened to what picture my mother or sister has painted me.  Until you get to know me for the woman I AM, you will always miss out on the magnanimous heart I have!  That would be your lost and someone else gain! The very thing you throw away might just be a diamond in the ruff.   I'm Just Saying!

Do Not Touch My Anointed Prayer

When all else fails,  P R A Y!!!!  Satan is busy!!!!  He is trying his best to kill, steal and destroy. What God gives he can take away.  When you are faced with trial and tribulations always turn it over to God.  Here's a prayer you can pray when the devil have you against a wall.

Father, I come to you with praise and Thanksgiving.  I humble myself before you as your anointed child.  I plead my cause, O'Lord, with those that strive against me.  Draw out also the spear, and stop the way against them that persecute me.  Let them be turned back and brought to confusion that devise m hurt. Let them be chaff before the wind and let the angel of the Lord chase them from my presence.  They have become false witnesses and have raised up against me charging me with things that I have not done.  Lord, I ask you to send your ministering angels and ask you to place your hedge of protection around me from my enemies according to Job 1:10.  Lord how long will you look on and do nothing.  You declare in Psalm 105:15 that no one is to touch your anointed and do them any harm.  Lord I am declaring now as a anointed child of God that no one can touch me according to 1 Samuel 26:10.  In Jesus Name I Pray and to God be the Glory.  Amen!!!!

I'm Just Saying! (Silly Questions)

Ever wonder why people let some of the silly things come out of their mouth?  Whoever said there is no such thing as a dumb question I beg to differ!


If you have to ask someone "Do you love me?" Nine out ten they don't and if have to ask if they are in love with you, I'm convinced that you rode the little short yellow bus when you were in school.  You should know if you are loved by the actions of that person, so why ask?  I'm just saying!


Men, if you have to ask a woman if you're "instrument" is big, chances are you are not!  Stop making her lie to you to satisfy your ego.  If she is happy to be with you set that insecurity to the side before she set out to find Mr. Big!  Okay?  I'm Just Saying!


Ladies, if you have a man who willing to be home with you after a hard earned paycheck STOP BUGGING HIM by asking "When you gon take me out?  Take yourself out and leave that man alone so he can get up in the morning and make that money!  Better yet, leave a comment with his name and number, I know a few good women looking for a few good men!  I'm Just Saying!


To any Bosses who likes to stand over their employees desk because you have some authority saying, What's going on?  What are you working on? Did I miss anything?  Did anyone call?  If your employee have anything for you, you'll be the first to know it!  I mean....really?  Do you have to stand that close?  Must you be all up in their space?  Must you gather around their cubicle to converse.  After all I am sure they are working, psst IM me when your boss leaves?  ;-) Just Saying!  Don't act like you don't play cat and mouse with your boss!

Okay now I am guilty of this.....some one you know lost a love one and you ask, "How you doing?"  SLAP YOURSELF!  I asked someone that and they snapped back at me saying, "How the *&$^ you think I'm doing?"  I just got off the phone and picked up my face, pride, and tongue and gave them a lot of space!!!  How silly was that?  In that scenario other questions should be asked like, What do you need me to do?, Can I make some phone calls for you, clean, better yet, just don't say nothing unless they speak to you.  You may be safer that way!  I'm Just Saying!  (You know who you are.....LOVE YOU DEARLY!!!)

Like a car going down the road, we don't want to end up in a ditch or as with boats, shipwrecked!  Wouldn't it be sad to be thinking that things are really going well and believing things are okay when actually you could be headed straight for trouble or in it and not realize?  It's important to stay on the right path.  Many us are following others thinking its the right way and haven't bothered to think about the end of the road results.  We live our lives with blinders on.  Until we stumble upon trouble we find our selves guilty of certain or all accusations.  

So here we are served with an arrest warrant that goes something like this:

• Spend time with God each day. It does not have to be a long period of time. Just develop the daily habit of praying to Him and reading His Word. Ask God to increase your faith and your understanding of the Bible.
• Seek fellowship with other followers of Jesus. Develop a group of believing friends to answer your questions and support you.
• Find a local church where you can worship God.

I'm Just Saying! (Drama is not my friend)

I always write about other things but I am going to use this segment to write about me!  How bout that!!!!  

Have you ever had someone in your life who is ALWAYS surrounded by drama?  Well I am cutting folks off in order to stay in the presence of God!!!!  No ONE is worth the risk of me losing my soul!!!  I came so close to stepping back in old character that God had to literally smack the taste out of my mouth.

I am not perfect!  I never proclaimed to be but I am human, born into sin first & by no choice and a Christian last, by choice.  Here's what I have learned:

• In order to walk with God you must first learn to let go and give it to God.  That's important!  Even when its the very thing you love the most! 
•  When your enemies persecute you, pray for them.  It's like coals burning on their head.
• Don't allow anyone to take your joy.  They didn't give it and surely they have no power to gain it from you.
• When people want to cuss you out and believe all the non sense remove yourself from that environment.  For one - IT'S NOT HEALTHY!  Let those who raise raise hell, live in hell.  God is not about foolishness.
• No matter how mad you get, sin not!!!  That's a hard one but if you fail, repent and keep it moving.
• Wish no harm or ill will because you'll wish it back on yourself.
• Take a look at the history of the people involve and realize their up bringing and the drama associated with them.
• Realize that when you are up against a wall, swing back enough to allow God in, let him do the rest.  Even when you're push too far, you can and will snap.  Yes even Christians.  
• When they question your walk with God realize that you are a Christian when you CAN pray for those who attack you.  Know you are a christian when you ignore people for quite some time without losing your cool.  Know you are a Christian when you can forgive them.  Know you are a Christian when you can still show respect by not trash talking anyone.  There is so many ways to be a christian, one of them was not being perfect!!
• Finally, know you are anointed and that no harm will come to by your enemy.  If people can not respect you for the person are, fine!  The God in you will handle that disrespect because his word said, TOUCH NOT MY ANOINTED!!   Yet in the same breath don't allow anyone to have reasons to touch "God's Anointed".

I said was I was going to write about me.  I am!  I write a lot of stuff about young girls and young mothers because what I see in this generation really disturbs me.  Writing is my way to release it so I won't be in the devil's hold by sinning.  People will push your buttons when you least expect it and they will try you at ALL cost, you just have to decide whose side are you, theirs, yours or God.  When you allow "self" to control your actions you take a risk of losing reality on what God wants for you.  With God, everything will work!

So I can't see my grandson.....okay.  Yes I have rights and yes I have a case but then something happen this morning to make me think the obvious!  If I just let it go, the problem of this drama resurfacing in my life is 0!!!  Bottom line.....I CAN LIVE WITH OUT THAT DRAMA!!!  Will miss my grand baby but not the drama that is associated with him.  Another way to look it at it, I save money, I have my time back, no babysitting, and no headaches of family issues and so much more.  My son is the one who has to deal with that, not me.  My grandson will have to, unfortunately, but not me.  Why should I be used by my son or her for their own selfish game playing?  I won't!  Plain and simple.  I love my grand baby dearly and would hurt someone over him but fighting to see him comes with dealing with people who have no respect for others. I rather let go and let God!  People reap what they sow!  If you sow a seed of confusion and drama you get it back in full when it grows.

Scripture says...."Peace that passive ALL understanding" and for us to "lean not unto thine own understanding."  When we don't understand why people are the way they are, let go.  I am siding with peace!  That includes in my house, in my family, on my job where ever I go.  Peace is welcome, drama is not my friend.  It has no place in any one's life. 

If writing the truth and not listening to lies makes me weak, so be it!  I am strong in heart, in my mind and in life but most importantly with God!  It doesn't matter what a person do or say, what matters is what God requires of me!  One thing for sure when people who have no ideal who God is looks for the fall of His people should really watch their step.

The very thing a person think they can hold over your head they will use against you!  That is no longer the case.  I am free from that drama and hold she thought she had over me and that, my friend, makes my heart glad.

Wish her and my son the best but I'm done like the turkey in the oven! I'm Just Saying!!! ;-)

What is Lupus (In Memory of my Sister)

In Memory of Lisa Hurt, my sister

Every year during the holidays, I think about my older sister who passed away December 12, 2006.  I miss her dearly and there isn't a day that goes by when I want to call her and realize that she is not among us physically.  Then I get a enjoyment of her laughter and witty sense of humor.  Lisa and I were close and had a lot in common.  Besides sharing a father and three other siblings we also were fighting our illness together, Lupus. 

What Is Lupus?  (taken from www.lupus.org)

Lupus is a chronic, autoimmune disease that can damage any part of the body (skin, joints, and/or organs inside the body). Chronic means that the signs and symptoms tend to last longer than six weeks and often for many years. In lupus, something goes wrong with your immune system, which is the part of the body that fights off viruses, bacteria, and germs ("foreign invaders," like the flu). Normally our immune system produces proteins called antibodies that protect the body from these invaders. Autoimmune means your immune system cannot tell the difference between these foreign invaders and your body’s healthy tissues ("auto" means "self") and creates autoantibodies that attack and destroy healthy tissue. These autoantibodies cause inflammation, pain, and damage in various parts of the body.

• Lupus is also a disease of flares (the symptoms worsen and you feel ill) and remissions (the symptoms improve and you feel better). Lupus can range from mild to life-threatening and should always be treated by a doctor. With good medical care, most people with lupus can lead a full life.
• Lupus is not contagious, not even through sexual contact. You cannot "catch" lupus from someone or "give" lupus to someone.
• Lupus is not like or related to cancer. Cancer is a condition of malignant, abnormal tissues that grow rapidly and spread into surrounding tissues. Lupus is an autoimmune disease, as described above.
• Lupus is not like or related to HIV (Human Immune Deficiency Virus) or AIDS (Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome). In HIV or AIDS the immune system is underactive; in lupus, the immune system is overactive.
• Our research estimates that at least 1.5 million Americans have lupus. The actual number may be higher; however, there have been no large-scale studies to show the actual number of people in the U.S. living with lupus.
• It is believed that 5 million people throughout the world have a form of lupus.
• Lupus strikes mostly women of childbearing age (15-44). However, men, children, and teenagers develop lupus, too.
• Women of color are 2-3 times more likely to develop lupus.
• People of all races and ethnic groups can develop lupus.
• More than 16,000 new cases of lupus are reported annually across the country.

Lisa may have lost her life to this disease but I am still here fighting the war.  I live with Lupus and I will overcome the struggles when they arise.  God didn't give me a spirit of fear so why should I live with the fear of an illness.  I miss the many friends and yes my sister who have succumb to this but I have many more friends and a mother still striving to maintain a healthy lifestyle.  If you have any questions or concern about Lupus please visit www.lupus.org for more information.  If you think you may have Lupus please visit a doctor for an ANA blood test.

I'm Just Saying! (Why?)

I was driving from meetings to meetings yesterday and saw people on the streets when my mind became to think on these things.......

Why do women ask for a good man but turn around mistreat him?  I wonder if you really know what a good man is if he was standing under your dress.  Take some time and see the good in a man instead of what he don't have.  You may miss out on Mr. Right and end up with Mr. Wrong.  I'm Just Saying!

Why do women think its better to show it all than to leave something to the imagination?  Are you scared that all you are worth is what your momma gave you?  Watch how you present yourself to the world, you may attract strange predators.  I'm Just Saying!

When did it become cute to see women cussing like sailors?  What happen to being a lady?  Why does every other word out of your mouth have to be so vulgar?  Talking like that doesn't make you smarter or cuter, it makes you ignorant!  Learn how to talk properly without the cuss words and perhaps people will take you serious.  I'm Just Saying!

What is with the smoking and drinking with our people?  I mean, if you stop abusing your body and clear your head for a second you may be able to see that the problem of not working is not the man faults but your own.  How do you expect to get a job with dirty drug test?  YOU CAN'T!!!  If you looking for a high.....TRY JESUS!!!  It gets no higher than Christ!  I'm Just Saying!

Why did we as parents think it was such a good ideal to give our kids everything they want growing up and now that they are grown they are worthless in the world?  We need to go back to the basics in life.  Spending quality time with our kids instead of them always out.  Cellphones, computers, mp3s, video games wasn't an option and I truly believe when those items came into play the last of the "go get" generation died.  I'm Just Saying!

Wake Up! (Poem)

The time is now to open your eyes

and see the demise,

of our people falling to their knees

not willing to beg or plead,

for mercy  in our homes

instead people living in dorms,

like jail & not able to make bail.

What will it take

to correct the mistakes

that is before our eyes?

How many times will a mother have to cry

before she's able to stand

and not have a no good man

that's by her side bringing her down

not making her smile but leavin a frown.

Why are our children in jail

Mommy is living in hell

while daddy is rollin

with his hoes and smokin?

Why is the schools failing

with their hands out beggin

when our kids still can't read,

write but yet its our kids in need.

Take your hands out of my pocket

yet we spending dollars on space rockets

I wish I could fly away

where children are protect everyday

Where the government actually cared

and people are no longer scared

When will we realize

the poor, the sick and homeless cries

to just be able to survive

instead our country leave em alone to die.

Open your eyes

to this country's demise

Let's lend a hand 

to a fellow man

Let's raise up a nation

to became a example for the next generation

Let's feed the hungry

like the request of the Census Bureau mandatory survey's.

Let's cloth our minds

and rewind our anger to be kind.

Let's be ladies and dress with class

Instead of showing our &*@#!

Let's be men who showed respect

instead of being incorrect,

when calling woman out their name

would you want your mother called the same?

How many times must see our kids die?

How many more times will the politicians lie?

How many churches will keep the doors locked?

How many molesters will not receive what our children got?

How many mouths will stay shut?

When will my people wake up!!
