I Am A Happy Person

Thanks to my new friend Daria for sharing this with me.  This couldn't have come at a better time, this is what's in my heart. Be Bless!

I am a Happy Person
(Author anonymous)

I am a HAPPY PERSON. My happiness does not depend on the conditions or even the people in my life; my happiness depends on my reactions to outer circumstances, on how well I can adjust to them.
Today I react positively to my environment, to the people around me.  Today I am adjustable and adaptable to circumstances. My happiness does not depend on another's estimation of me.  My happiness depends on how well I like myself. Today I remind myself that I am God's beloved child and I like myself as God's child.
My happiness does not depend on my income, on where I live, or what I own.  My happiness depends on how well I can see the spiritual reality behind all appearances.  Today I look at life with a new understanding of what is important, of what is of true VALUE!
Today, I promote Happy thoughts, I develop Happy attitudes; I choose to be HAPPY, wherever I AM, WHATEVER I AM DOING!!

Psalms 128:2
You shall be happy and it shall be well with you…

What in world is wrong with the women today?..............

What in world is wrong with the women today?

I was on my way to work when I saw a young girl wearing a hooker outfit.  Yet to her, it was probably an outfit that was "in style".  Her outfit and many others leave nothing to the imagination.  Aretha Franklin says it best….R….E….S….P….E…..C…T……WHERE IS IT?
If you let a man have ALL of your treasures in the trunk you show a sign of being "easy.'  Doing that will get no where if you trying to find a husband.  Let that man wonder…….trust me! He will wait if he truly is into wanting to know and learn the real you.
Dressing to show you're a*^ shows you have no class.  Dress appropriate!  Show yourself some respect!  God didn't bless you to flash your body to  the world.  Trust me some of you look like hoochies dressed all nasty.  It ain't cute.  Mothers dressing nasty trying to attract a man in the church.  Next thing you know, you'll be shouting seductively trying to get any man's attention.  STOP IT LADIES!  My father is not pleased and neither am I.  I feel bad for our daughters and what examples they have been set for them.
We do not belong to ourselves!  Look it up people. 1 Cor. 6:19-20.
1 Cor. 6:19-20
19 Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and that you are not your own?
20 For you have been bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body.
The Christian must ask, "will this be harmful to my body?" If the answer is yes.......it is wrong. The Christian must ask, "can I glorify God by this action?" If the answer is no.....it is wrong.
You are inviting trouble into your life.  Meaning, why would I advertise my nice big screen hdtv, leave my door unlock, inviting robbers to rob me blind.
Think about it!
I just felt the need to say it.

Excuse me........but you don’t know it all!!!!!!

I was talking to my 18 year old when I received a call about something he said to someone about his mom (me)!  Of course the caller had my attention that I was nosy enough to wonder what he was saying about me.  Well let's just say I was not a happy camper.......

I thought about what I would say to my son about the current situation we were facing.  (It seems like all of our conversation have been about his girlfriend)  However, this time was different.

You see, I learned that my son wasn't telling the whole truth to me or to her.   (So for those of you parents who believe your children tell the truth to YOU....think again sweetie!)  He said things to her that he thought she would want to hear and he did the same thing to me.  Until he slipped, not gone tell you how, but I will say these were his words and not someone else.

Anyway.......I was disappointed because I want him to be up front and honest with his feelings.  Somewhat like me.......seriously.  Why do you think one of my nickname is forealdoh (4 real dough) I earned that name for a reason.

So I  thought I would sit down and talked with him again.  Of course the attitude of "I know everything" showed its ugly face.  But I told him.......

Your word is your bond.  People remember you by your words.  If you tell someone something that isn't true, you hurt that person.  If you mention something out of anger to another person about the person whom your talking bad about, you have created drama.  When you become this type of person you belittle you, which means your character can be tarnished.

How many of us have said, "that boy/girl is a liar!"?  Its because they fell into this example of living.  Your word is your bond......to who you are as human being.  We all can take heed to this.

When I feel strong about something or someone it will take the whole armor of God to convince me otherwise.  However, I will think things over and come to a decision I can live with.

So this is for the "new" grown folks who are in their preteens.
1.  You don't know it all!

2.  Listen.....you will forever learn something

3.  Parents are not slow, dumb, annoying, weak, or whatever other slang you use. Know that your parent(s), guardian is looking out for your best interest!

4.  Think before you do something stupid!

5.  Stand for something! If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything.

6.  RESPECT yourself and definitely respect your parents and elders.

7.  Have patience because it is a virtue.

8.  Pray.  It changes things.

9.  Wait on the things you've prayed for and what life has to offer.  If it is meant for you to have it, You Will!
and most importantly..........

10.  YOU DON'T KNOW IT ALL!!!!!

Now, go some where and love on your parent(s), guardian and not your girl/boy friend.  lol

Be Bless everyone.

What we do for our children

First let me say how tired a sistah really is.........My son William has his 1st job and man those hours are killing me.  I am his ride to and from work until he gets his car.
Anyway, its funny because I use to keep those very hours he is now working.  Staying up late to watch t.v., talk on the phone when I was in love or lust (keeping it real).  Whatever it was I could have stayed up all night.
NOW........I can't even think about it.  The latest I can do is now 11 p.m.  and I betta get my eight hours.  I find myself counting the hours from eyes shutting close to when I need to be up.  Funny how you change the older you get.  So I stay up to drop him off and depending on when he gets off, anywhere from 2 am -6 am, I would wake up to go and get him.  Then I would fall back to sleep to grab whatever rest I can before my alarm goes off.  Wow!  Talk about dragging.
So with all that said, imgaine how tired God is when we call him day and night.  Does God ever get tired?  I believe because of his love for us he does what parents do for their children.  He shakes his head, comfort us, loves us, scolds us, cry with us and wants the best for us but he wants us to come to him in truth, good, and bad.
As a mother of three I thought I learned how to be a great mother, well guess what - I am still learning.  My boys have taught me a thing or two.  I know I couldn't have gotten this far without God being the head of my life.  I have to remember that in Matthew 11:28-30 tells us that  28-30"Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you'll recover your life. I'll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me—watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won't lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you'll learn to live freely and lightly."
So Lord I pray that all parents have a special blessing sent on them as they read this.
Father God in the Name of Jesus we thank you!  For loving us unconditionally that you have blessed us with your son presence.  Thank you for watching over our sons our daughters giving the love and support you have given us parents.  Father we pray for the mothers and fathers who have buried their child or children.  Touch their hearts and provide them comfort.  Watch over our children as they begin the new school year.  Keep all bus drivers safe and current with the laws and regulation.  Watch over the teachers who spending the most part of the day with our kids.  Father I pray for the person who is reading this that they find everything and more just by calling on your name.  Bless their heart, their soul and their mind.  In Jesus Name I pray.  Amen.
Now, go get your child(ren) and show them some Godly love!  Be Bless.

Doubt, Trust and Insecurities....

How many of us can honestly say we NEVER experienced Insecurities?  If you say you haven’t - I would doubt you.  If you ever thought your mate was cheating, your children is leaving home (college, move out, acting out etc.), your parents may never have been there for you, death of an love one, doubts of healing,  whatever the case, you have had some insecurities.....
I can honestly say that I have had (key word “HAD”) my share.  When I was married I had more insecurities than I had love for my husband.  I had reason to have them as well as not having reasons for many I tortured myself with.  It had gotten to a point where I drove myself crazy just trying to convince myself its true.   I couldn’t keep walking right with Christ because I allowed the devil to come into my life, my heart even when I believed I was not living in sin. Truth is……I was not allowing God to work it out.  He said, “For the anger of man does not produce the righteousness of God.” James 1:20....

Insecurities can lead to destruction, anger, bitterness and sometimes depression.  In any case, I rather be free from it.  When someone gives you reason to doubt them, you can choose to walk away or forgive them.  In the event you forgive, you are to LET IT GO.  If you can not let it go, you should go.  Living in an environment of insecurity is not healthy. “He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy.” Proverbs 28:13 (KJV)....

I use to think that my twin boys would grow up and never look back at me.  I use to think that my youngest son would not love me enough because he had to share me with other children. Those are a fraction of my “old” feelings.  Trust me people, there were more.  The difference in me today, I set myself FREE. “And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” John 8:32.

There is nothing on this earth that will make me doubt my Lord and savior Jesus Christ!  All the doubt in the world can’t make think that my fiancĂ©/ex-husband/baby daddy/best friend/soul mate/big daddy/love of my life, that he don’t love or want me.  He does!  God said it, I believe it and that settles it!

Just as there are people who are miserable in their live, TRUST ME, they will try to make yours just as miserable or more.  Pray and seek HIS faith.  Trust and Believe!  It took my marriage to fall and be destroyed from all the insecurities we had to being reborn and rebuilt.  I use to believe experts when they say once you don’t trust someone you could never trust them again.  What about…..”once a cheat ALWAYS a cheat”?  I don’t buy that because that is saying, then you believe in God, that he is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow.  What about the woman in the bible who was talk bad about for her “loose
ways” yet she brought her alabaster box to Jesus wiping his feet with her hair.  Do we say
that she will always be considered “loose” after Jesus forgiven her of her sins?  NO!  If we do then we doubt Christ.
So for me, I made up in my mind that my mind will stay free of all nonsense.  God is not about confusion, drama, doubt, insecurities.  God is love!  If you can’t understand that perhaps you should self examine
yourself.  Settle all debt within and love God, yourself and others.  Be Blessed!
One more thing……keep in mind the following scriptures:....
“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.” John 10:10“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness”. 1 John 1:9
