Like a car going down the road, we don't want to end up in a ditch or as with boats, shipwrecked!  Wouldn't it be sad to be thinking that things are really going well and believing things are okay when actually you could be headed straight for trouble or in it and not realize?  It's important to stay on the right path.  Many us are following others thinking its the right way and haven't bothered to think about the end of the road results.  We live our lives with blinders on.  Until we stumble upon trouble we find our selves guilty of certain or all accusations.  

So here we are served with an arrest warrant that goes something like this:

If you said NO!  You are no longer able to stand before CREATOR OF THE UNIVERSE and your case is transferred to PRESIDING JUDGE LUCIFER.  He will rain over your life sentence.  This court is adjourned!

• Spend time with God each day. It does not have to be a long period of time. Just develop the daily habit of praying to Him and reading His Word. Ask God to increase your faith and your understanding of the Bible.
• Seek fellowship with other followers of Jesus. Develop a group of believing friends to answer your questions and support you.
• Find a local church where you can worship God.

I'm Just Saying! (Drama is not my friend)

I always write about other things but I am going to use this segment to write about me!  How bout that!!!!  

Have you ever had someone in your life who is ALWAYS surrounded by drama?  Well I am cutting folks off in order to stay in the presence of God!!!!  No ONE is worth the risk of me losing my soul!!!  I came so close to stepping back in old character that God had to literally smack the taste out of my mouth.

I am not perfect!  I never proclaimed to be but I am human, born into sin first & by no choice and a Christian last, by choice.  Here's what I have learned:

• In order to walk with God you must first learn to let go and give it to God.  That's important!  Even when its the very thing you love the most! 
•  When your enemies persecute you, pray for them.  It's like coals burning on their head.
• Don't allow anyone to take your joy.  They didn't give it and surely they have no power to gain it from you.
• When people want to cuss you out and believe all the non sense remove yourself from that environment.  For one - IT'S NOT HEALTHY!  Let those who raise raise hell, live in hell.  God is not about foolishness.
• No matter how mad you get, sin not!!!  That's a hard one but if you fail, repent and keep it moving.
• Wish no harm or ill will because you'll wish it back on yourself.
• Take a look at the history of the people involve and realize their up bringing and the drama associated with them.
• Realize that when you are up against a wall, swing back enough to allow God in, let him do the rest.  Even when you're push too far, you can and will snap.  Yes even Christians.  
• When they question your walk with God realize that you are a Christian when you CAN pray for those who attack you.  Know you are a christian when you ignore people for quite some time without losing your cool.  Know you are a Christian when you can forgive them.  Know you are a Christian when you can still show respect by not trash talking anyone.  There is so many ways to be a christian, one of them was not being perfect!!
• Finally, know you are anointed and that no harm will come to by your enemy.  If people can not respect you for the person are, fine!  The God in you will handle that disrespect because his word said, TOUCH NOT MY ANOINTED!!   Yet in the same breath don't allow anyone to have reasons to touch "God's Anointed".

I said was I was going to write about me.  I am!  I write a lot of stuff about young girls and young mothers because what I see in this generation really disturbs me.  Writing is my way to release it so I won't be in the devil's hold by sinning.  People will push your buttons when you least expect it and they will try you at ALL cost, you just have to decide whose side are you, theirs, yours or God.  When you allow "self" to control your actions you take a risk of losing reality on what God wants for you.  With God, everything will work!

So I can't see my grandson.....okay.  Yes I have rights and yes I have a case but then something happen this morning to make me think the obvious!  If I just let it go, the problem of this drama resurfacing in my life is 0!!!  Bottom line.....I CAN LIVE WITH OUT THAT DRAMA!!!  Will miss my grand baby but not the drama that is associated with him.  Another way to look it at it, I save money, I have my time back, no babysitting, and no headaches of family issues and so much more.  My son is the one who has to deal with that, not me.  My grandson will have to, unfortunately, but not me.  Why should I be used by my son or her for their own selfish game playing?  I won't!  Plain and simple.  I love my grand baby dearly and would hurt someone over him but fighting to see him comes with dealing with people who have no respect for others. I rather let go and let God!  People reap what they sow!  If you sow a seed of confusion and drama you get it back in full when it grows.

Scripture says...."Peace that passive ALL understanding" and for us to "lean not unto thine own understanding."  When we don't understand why people are the way they are, let go.  I am siding with peace!  That includes in my house, in my family, on my job where ever I go.  Peace is welcome, drama is not my friend.  It has no place in any one's life. 

If writing the truth and not listening to lies makes me weak, so be it!  I am strong in heart, in my mind and in life but most importantly with God!  It doesn't matter what a person do or say, what matters is what God requires of me!  One thing for sure when people who have no ideal who God is looks for the fall of His people should really watch their step.

The very thing a person think they can hold over your head they will use against you!  That is no longer the case.  I am free from that drama and hold she thought she had over me and that, my friend, makes my heart glad.

Wish her and my son the best but I'm done like the turkey in the oven! I'm Just Saying!!! ;-)

What is Lupus (In Memory of my Sister)

In Memory of Lisa Hurt, my sister

Every year during the holidays, I think about my older sister who passed away December 12, 2006.  I miss her dearly and there isn't a day that goes by when I want to call her and realize that she is not among us physically.  Then I get a enjoyment of her laughter and witty sense of humor.  Lisa and I were close and had a lot in common.  Besides sharing a father and three other siblings we also were fighting our illness together, Lupus. 

What Is Lupus?  (taken from www.lupus.org)

Lupus is a chronic, autoimmune disease that can damage any part of the body (skin, joints, and/or organs inside the body). Chronic means that the signs and symptoms tend to last longer than six weeks and often for many years. In lupus, something goes wrong with your immune system, which is the part of the body that fights off viruses, bacteria, and germs ("foreign invaders," like the flu). Normally our immune system produces proteins called antibodies that protect the body from these invaders. Autoimmune means your immune system cannot tell the difference between these foreign invaders and your body’s healthy tissues ("auto" means "self") and creates autoantibodies that attack and destroy healthy tissue. These autoantibodies cause inflammation, pain, and damage in various parts of the body.

• Lupus is also a disease of flares (the symptoms worsen and you feel ill) and remissions (the symptoms improve and you feel better). Lupus can range from mild to life-threatening and should always be treated by a doctor. With good medical care, most people with lupus can lead a full life.
• Lupus is not contagious, not even through sexual contact. You cannot "catch" lupus from someone or "give" lupus to someone.
• Lupus is not like or related to cancer. Cancer is a condition of malignant, abnormal tissues that grow rapidly and spread into surrounding tissues. Lupus is an autoimmune disease, as described above.
• Lupus is not like or related to HIV (Human Immune Deficiency Virus) or AIDS (Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome). In HIV or AIDS the immune system is underactive; in lupus, the immune system is overactive.
• Our research estimates that at least 1.5 million Americans have lupus. The actual number may be higher; however, there have been no large-scale studies to show the actual number of people in the U.S. living with lupus.
• It is believed that 5 million people throughout the world have a form of lupus.
• Lupus strikes mostly women of childbearing age (15-44). However, men, children, and teenagers develop lupus, too.
• Women of color are 2-3 times more likely to develop lupus.
• People of all races and ethnic groups can develop lupus.
• More than 16,000 new cases of lupus are reported annually across the country.

I'm Just Saying! (Why?)

I was driving from meetings to meetings yesterday and saw people on the streets when my mind became to think on these things.......

Why do women ask for a good man but turn around mistreat him?  I wonder if you really know what a good man is if he was standing under your dress.  Take some time and see the good in a man instead of what he don't have.  You may miss out on Mr. Right and end up with Mr. Wrong.  I'm Just Saying!

Why do women think its better to show it all than to leave something to the imagination?  Are you scared that all you are worth is what your momma gave you?  Watch how you present yourself to the world, you may attract strange predators.  I'm Just Saying!

When did it become cute to see women cussing like sailors?  What happen to being a lady?  Why does every other word out of your mouth have to be so vulgar?  Talking like that doesn't make you smarter or cuter, it makes you ignorant!  Learn how to talk properly without the cuss words and perhaps people will take you serious.  I'm Just Saying!

What is with the smoking and drinking with our people?  I mean, if you stop abusing your body and clear your head for a second you may be able to see that the problem of not working is not the man faults but your own.  How do you expect to get a job with dirty drug test?  YOU CAN'T!!!  If you looking for a high.....TRY JESUS!!!  It gets no higher than Christ!  I'm Just Saying!

Why did we as parents think it was such a good ideal to give our kids everything they want growing up and now that they are grown they are worthless in the world?  We need to go back to the basics in life.  Spending quality time with our kids instead of them always out.  Cellphones, computers, mp3s, video games wasn't an option and I truly believe when those items came into play the last of the "go get" generation died.  I'm Just Saying!

Wake Up! (Poem)

The time is now to open your eyes

and see the demise,

of our people falling to their knees

not willing to beg or plead,

for mercy  in our homes

instead people living in dorms,

like jail & not able to make bail.

What will it take

to correct the mistakes

that is before our eyes?

How many times will a mother have to cry

before she's able to stand

and not have a no good man

that's by her side bringing her down

not making her smile but leavin a frown.

Why are our children in jail

Mommy is living in hell

while daddy is rollin

with his hoes and smokin?

Why is the schools failing

with their hands out beggin

when our kids still can't read,

write but yet its our kids in need.

Take your hands out of my pocket

yet we spending dollars on space rockets

I wish I could fly away

where children are protect everyday

Where the government actually cared

and people are no longer scared

When will we realize

the poor, the sick and homeless cries

to just be able to survive

instead our country leave em alone to die.

Open your eyes

to this country's demise

Let's lend a hand 

to a fellow man

Let's raise up a nation

to became a example for the next generation

Let's feed the hungry

like the request of the Census Bureau mandatory survey's.

Let's cloth our minds

and rewind our anger to be kind.

Let's be ladies and dress with class

Instead of showing our &*@#!

Let's be men who showed respect

instead of being incorrect,

when calling woman out their name

would you want your mother called the same?

How many times must see our kids die?

How many more times will the politicians lie?

How many churches will keep the doors locked?

How many molesters will not receive what our children got?

How many mouths will stay shut?

When will my people wake up!!

I'm Just Saying! (To vote or not to vote)

Listen up people!  Things are rough for a lot of people and good for the rich.  I have never seen a time when the President of the United States doesn't have respect from the people.  For example, no matter how jacked up the Bush's were they were still respected because they were Presidents.  Now that there is a Black President people seem to forget that HE INHERITED THE MESS LEFT FROM GEORGE W. BUSH!!!!!  Plain and simple.  

This year election has been a knock out drag out and they want to convince us to go independent, democrat and republican.  I am for the right person who will make it better on those on the lower tadpole.  I think we the people should line up and make these self righteous politicians live in LA's Skid Row, or anyone's homeless shelter across America!  Let them work for low wages and no health care.  Let's send their love ones to war and keep them over there for years to come.  

I don't trust any of these snakes in office because NOT ONE OF THEM HAD KIND WORDS FOR OUR PRESIDENT!!!!  BITE ME!!!  I wish I would vote for a republican and a tea party member just because you hate President Obama!!  We stood behind Reagan, Bush, Nixon, Bush even when most Presidents allowed lynching as an entertainment back in the days!  So people remember that when you get out to vote today!  President Obama DID NOT JACKED THIS COUNTRY UP.......A REPUBLICAN DID!  I'm Just Saying!!!!!

I'm Just Saying!  (A Girl vs. A Woman)

This is for all the young girls who cuss out their man, aggressively thinks its cute to step in a man's role.  You know the ones they try to come between a man and his family.

A woman understands her man.  She knows when to push the right buttons and when to just leave it and him alone.  A little girl argues and cusses her man out as if God put you as the head.

A woman knows how to handle herself.  She can work, take care of the kids, manage her money and still have time for her man and her self.  A little girl waits for someone to do it all for her.  She thinks she should have it all right now.

A woman knows how to appreciate her man, his mother and father, while not losing herself or feeling threatened in her position.  A little girl wants to remove his mother, and anybody close to her man even if it hurts him.

A woman doesn't mind taking advice or constructive criticism from anyone because she knows the older they are the better the wisdom and knowledge.  A little girl walks around with an arrogant attitude that she knows it all and can't tell nothing.

A little girl has no respect for herself, her kids or her man when she tries to walk in his shoes.  A woman will show respect just by doing the job without complaining and leaning on others in her time of need.

A little girl treats her man like she has bigger balls than him.  A woman will take care of her man, his balls and all and still maintain her Queen status.

The difference between a woman and little girl is the ability to listen.  The ability to be taught how to grow into a good woman so a good man can treat her like the queen she is.  A little girl get what's dealt by her attitude, her demeanor and her mentality.  Be open to a change so you can grow into a beautiful woman.  Any girl can spread herself and get pregnant but a woman knows how to make parenting and being a woman work for her as a lady.  I'm Just Saying!
